Summary of Role / Job Purpose:
The Trading Platforms Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for maintaining the technical environment supporting the trading platforms, ensuring high performance, scalability, and resiliency. This role involves managing servers, monitoring resource utilization, implementing backups, and coordinating with the Trading Software Engineering team to support a stable infrastructure.
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support server hosting, networking, and infrastructure maintenance. This position is critical to ensuring the availability, performance, resilience, and security of the server infrastructure and associated services. The Trading Platforms Infrastructure Engineer plays a key role in maintaining low-latency, high-availability systems that underpin trading operations across global markets.
Main Activities and Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Server Hosting:
Implement and maintain hosting infrastructure for trading servers
Manage on-premises, co-location, and cloud-based hosting environments
Monitor server performance, uptime, latency, and resource utilization
Implement backup, redundancy, and failover mechanisms to guarantee business continuity
Ensure high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) readiness
Conduct periodic health and performance checks of trading and related systems
Create and maintain a reliable and redundant trading infrastructure, leveraging backup trade servers and system backups
Install, configure, and maintain MT4/MT5 servers, associated bridges, and system components
Perform server monitoring, maintenance, and updates (including weekend activities)
Implement scalable solutions to support thousands of concurrent users across multiple servers and platforms
Manage system logs, alerts, and monitoring tools for proactive incident detection
Networking & Security:
Oversee networking infrastructure across data centers, ISPs, and cloud providers.
Configure, monitor, and optimize firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
Ensure ultra-low-latency network connectivity for trading execution.
Implement robust network security, intrusion detection, and DDoS mitigation strategies.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, patch management, and security audits.
Maintain security standards and ensure compliance with IT and audit requirements.
Provide technical documentation and assistance in system audits.
Coordinate with internal teams, including Risk, Dealing, Back Office, and Compliance, to ensure proper trade execution flow and data integrity
Respond promptly to client or internal escalations related to trading issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution
Maintenance & Operations:
Establish proactive monitoring and alerting systems for infrastructure health.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, OS, network, and connectivity issues.
Optimize performance of Windows/Linux servers and trading-related services.
Coordinate upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure changes with minimal downtime.
Collaborate with Trading Software Engineering, Dealing, and Risk teams to align IT operations with trading requirements
Communicate and follow up with third-party software vendors and liquidity providers regarding integrations, updates, and technical issues
Monitor system health and performance across production and staging environments using monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Zabbix, or equivalent)
Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to streamline operational tasks and system checks
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform reliability
Support the maintenance of infrastructure (servers, APIs, databases, networks) underpinning trading environments
Contribute to the creation of documentation, procedures, and runbooks to ensure consistent operational standards
Assist in implementing security updates and system patches in coordination with IT and DevOps
And any other duties required by the role
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Strong expertise in: Networking: TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, routing/switching, firewalls, load balancers. Monitoring Tools: Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack
Prior experience in managing trading infrastructure (MT4/MT5, FIX, liquidity bridges, execution gateways) is a strong plus.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident-response skills
Security: SIEM, IDS/IPS, DDoS mitigation, SSL/TLS
Virtualization & Cloud: VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure, GCP
Server OS: Windows Server, Linux (CentOS/Ubuntu)
5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, server hosting, or network engineering, preferably within financial services or trading environments

The role is for Amman, Jordan or Cyprus, Limassol
Sunday–Thursday, 08:30–17:00 (Amman Working hours) / Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00 (Cyprus working hours)
