About the Role:
A rapidly expanding portfolio of brands that draws inspiration from a premium lifestyle, is actively seeking a highly motivated Director of Ecommerce to optimize our ongoing ecommerce efforts across our Tradewind Services portfolio of brands with primary focus on the following: Roark and Amble.
Reporting to the VP of Ecommerce, the ideal candidate will collaborate with the key stakeholders of each brand to drive performance marketing and best in class ecommerce strategies that align with business goals. This role will act as a strategic thought leader, identifying opportunities across all ecommerce and digital channels, while ensuring best-in-class execution of campaigns.
They will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all ecommerce tools and strategies, ensuring seamless operations across all channels. Working cross-functionally, they will partner with marketing, creative, product, inventory, digital tech, retention, paid advertising, and finance teams to develop and execute scalable strategies that drive revenue growth, enhance customer acquisition and retention, and maximize the digital ecommerce experience. Additionally, this role will serve as the primary liaison with advertising platforms, technology partners, and third-party tools to maintain a competitive edge in the evolving ecommerce landscape.

Key responsibilities in the following areas include but are not limited to:
Overall Ecommerce Strategy and P&L Management
Drive strategic direction for a successful ecommerce business for the Roark brand.
Assume holistic ownership of the Roark Ecommerce P&L from topline gross sales down to contribution margin setting performance plans to drive successful outcomes.
Own seasonal and monthly forecasting of new and repeat revenue, optimal media spend allocations, and managing daily pace against efficiency targets.
Partner with inventory, buying, allocation, and demand planning teams to ensure proper sell through of products down to style+color level performance.
Partner with product development team providing recommendations on individual product and category growth opportunities given consumer demand and performance marketing effectiveness.
Website Operations, Customer Journey, and Partner Integrations
Drive the day-to-day ecommerce management of the site experience acting as the main point of contact ensuring operations are flowing smoothly across all channels.
Partner with UX, Design, and Development teams to improve site experience and implement ongoing features and functionality enhancements.
Regularly optimize product and content merchandising based on seasonal demand, inventory sell through, and broader go-to market alignment.
Guide the web experience in close partnership with development teams by maintaining content accuracy (copy, imagery, links, site structure, etc) and enhancing all touchpoints across the user journey.
Become an expert in all aspects of our tech stack determining optimal use of all tools and resources available in order to maximize website performance and enhance the end-to-end customer journey.
Go-To-Market, Product Launch and Campaign Execution
Align with product, brand, and creative marketing teams to support all Ecommerce campaign launches against our omnichannel go-to-market calendar.
Partner cross-departmentally on the development of campaign creative briefs, the coordination of assets, tech readiness, copy and imagery alignment and product merchandising for key consumer seasonal moments and broader campaign launches.
Report on performance through recurring reviews adjusting as needed to support shifts in priority and overall product sell-through.
Publish campaign assets across homepage, collection pages, banners, and promo elements in coordination with launch cadence.
Partner with customer lifecycle and retention teams for coordination of owned channel deployments as well as paid acquisition teams through creative advertising enablement in accordance with the GTM calendar.
Innovation & Optimization
Monitor and evaluate emerging digital trends, competitive shifts, and new innovative programs to drive innovation (1x+ per quarter).
Attend industry events (1x+ per quarter), engage with peers and test and learn the latest best in class ecommerce strategies and systems.
Participate in cross-functional team meetings and training that are beyond the scope of duties as described in your job description to further your broadening ecommerce education.
Regularly hypothesize and test the customer journey. Identify opportunities to deliver the best customer experience possible while increasing performance KPIs. Formalize in an AB Testing roadmap informed by quantitative and qualitative data.
Other responsibilities as necessary.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Ecommerce, or related field
10+ years of experience in ecommerce site management and operations. I.e. Shopify Merchandiser, E-commerce Merchandiser, E-commerce manager or in a similar role (Shopify Experience is Needed).
Experience with digital campaign execution, data analytics, and optimization
Experience working across internal and external stakeholder groups
Familiarity with Email/SMS platforms, SEO, A/B testing, and product merchandising strategies
Familiarity with paid advertising across social, search, and offline ad platforms
Exceptional attention to detail and strong project management skills required
Clear and effective communication when working cross-functionally with large teams.
High level of integrity and work ethic.
Strong knowledge of Shopify, including Metaobject functionality, page building, and theme customization.
Proficient in inventory and product management within e-commerce platforms.
Basic understanding of SEO and search/filter optimization techniques.
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for visual presentation and user experience.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Ability to implement and learn new systems and process quickly
Adaptability in a fast paced dynamic business environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and other data analysis tools
Effective presentation of information and strong verbal & written communication skills
Goal-oriented, with high standards of honesty, ethics, and personal accountability
Awareness of market trends and consumer tastes
Prefer knowledge of lifestyle/apparel market

Location & Office Structure: This is an in-office hybrid position, mandatory 4 days per week in office in Irvine, CA with the option to work from home 1 day per week. On call as needed and subject to change without notice as per company guidelines.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $170,000 plus opportunity for annual bonus; salary is based on the experience that you bring to the position.
