About the Position
The Trade Compliance Specialist is an entry-level role that supports WatchGuard’s global trade compliance program. This position plays a key role in ensuring that import and export activities comply with applicable U.S. and international laws and regulations. A Day in a Life
In this role, you will support daily trade compliance activities by assisting with restricted party screenings, reviewing documentation, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal teams such as Sales and IT. You will also help prepare for audits, research regulatory requirements, and support compliance reporting, gaining hands-on experience with global trade operations.
Position Responsibilities
• Assist in ensuring compliance with U.S. and international import/export regulations and company trade compliance policies
• Perform denied and restricted party screenings for customers, business partners, and vendors
• Maintain trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory recordkeeping requirements
• Coordinate with Sales and IT teams to ensure proper documentation and compliance procedures
• Support internal audits, reviews, and compliance assessments
• Research regulatory requirements and assist in interpreting trade regulations
• Help maintain compliance databases and documentation systems
• Provide administrative and operational support for trade compliance processes and reporting
Required Qualifications:
• College degree (required)
• Strong research and analytical skills
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze information and follow structured processes
Compensation
The base salary range is $65,000-$75,000 per year for full-time employment, exclusive of benefits. This position is also eligible for a bonus of 5% of the base salary. Your base salary will be determined by your individual skills, education, and experience. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical in order to allow for future salary growth.
