Role Purpose
Execute standardized, repeatable trade compliance activities as part of NXP’s global Trade Compliance Operations team. The initial focus of this role is classification execution support, operating within approved playbooks and evidence standards, with disciplined escalation of novel, sensitive, or precedent‑setting cases to Export Controls authority.
This role is execution‑focused and requires strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and comfort working with technical product information.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute assigned trade compliance activities using documented playbooks, templates, tools and decision frameworks.
• Prepare and validate classification input packages, including technical product descriptions and documentation completeness checks.
• Apply escalation rules consistently and prepare clean, authority‑ready escalation packages when playbook coverage does not apply.
• Maintain complete and consistent documentation and evidence to support audit and recordkeeping requirements.
• Support quality routines and continuous improvement by flagging unclear playbooks, recurring issues, and opportunities for standardization.
• Collaborate with the KL Operations Manager, Operations Control Tower, and authority teams to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent execution.
• Escalates cases outside playbooks via the Operations Control Tower in accordance with defined escalation rules.
Qualifications / Experience
• 2–5+ years’ experience in trade compliance operations, export control operations, customs operations, logistics compliance, technical operations, or similar execution‑oriented roles.
• Strong ability to understand and work with technical product documentation and specifications.
• High attention to detail, structured working style, and comfort with documentation and evidence requirements.
• Willingness to escalate when uncertainty exists.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, supply chain, applied sciences, IT, engineering, or similar), or equivalent practical experience.
Language
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Additional languages are a plus but not required.
