The Trade Compliance and Logistics Coordinator supports the daily operations of the logistics and trade compliance teams. This role assists with shipment tracking, coordinating deliveries, maintaining shipping and customs documentation, and helping ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations.
The coordinator will gain hands-on experience in logistics operations, import/export procedures, and entry-level trade compliance while developing problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist with International Shipments
Prepare shipping labels and documentation for international shipments.
Track deliveries and coordinate project shipments with internal teams and logistics providers.
Maintain shipment records and assist with documentation accuracy.
Support Trade Compliance Tasks
Assist with assigning HTS codes under supervision.
Confirm Country of Origin information for products.
Support Automated Export System (AES) / ACE export filings with guidance from the compliance team.
Help Resolve Shipment Issues
Monitor shipment tracking updates and identify potential delays or issues.
Escalate problems to logistics or compliance team members as appropriate.
Assist with filing claims for lost or damaged shipments.
Learn Freight Processes
Support RFQ requests and assist with spot quote tracking.
Review freight invoices for basic accuracy and documentation.
Assist with Audits and Reporting
Gather shipping and compliance documentation for internal reviews.
Organize data and help prepare simple freight and compliance reports.
Support Denied Party Screening
Assist with denied party screening processes.
Follow up with internal users when additional information or clarification is required.
General Team Support
Provide administrative and operational support for logistics and trade compliance projects.
Perform other duties as assigned to support department initiatives.
Qualifications:
1–3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, shipping, or related operational roles preferred.
High school diploma required.
Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Proficiency with CETEC or UPS software.
Ability to enter data accurately in web applications (ACE, carrier websites)
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Eagerness to learn and openness to feedback
Self-motivation with determination and discipline to achieve results.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift items up to 25 pounds
Ability to sit up to 8 hours per day
Working Conditions:
Standard office environment with occasional exposure to the warehouse.
