JATEC has been connecting communities for over 40 years. We have expertise in the installation of fiber optics, underground utilities for residential development, street lighting, and highway sign infrastructure across Canada.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Track Loader Operator will be responsible for competently operating at least one of the following pieces of equipment (additional to track loader): wheel loader, skid steer, excavator, or rubber tire backhoe. They will report to a Lead Hand/Foreman and assist in the installation of electrical and underground utilities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to work 5 - 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday), 8 - 10 hours a day.

Operate the equipment as required such as skid steer, loader, rubber tire backhoe and excavator.

Dig, backfill, and sand trenches with heavy equipment.

Perform preventative maintenance procedures on equipment.

Adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.

Team Player

Perform labour tasks as needed.

Site setup and cleanup.

Adapt to changing priorities.

Perform all work in accordance with applicable Task Hazard Assessments (THAs), safe work practices, and Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs).

Identify hazards and participate in hazard assessments and control implementation.

Perform assigned tasks as identified in formal hazard assessments.

REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Class 5 driver’s license & reliable transportation required.

Must be able to lift
75lbs .

Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, bend and walk.

Willing & able to work in all weather conditions.
