Job Description

The 3PL Track and Trace Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating freight movements between shippers, carriers, and receivers. This role ensures all loads are picked up and delivered on time, providing exceptional service and communication to customers and partners. The position plays a key role in maintaining smooth daily operations within a third-party logistics (3PL) environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate transportation of shipments from pickup to delivery, ensuring on-time performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with carriers, drivers, and customers to ensure reliable service.
• Negotiate rates and secure carrier capacity to move freight efficiently and profitably.
• Monitor shipments through TMS and GPS tracking systems; provide proactive updates to clients.
• Resolve issues such as delays, re-routes, or accessorial charges quickly and professionally.
• Verify and process documentation including BOLs, rate confirmations, and proof of delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet service standards and operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and customer requirements.


Requirements:
• 1–3 years of experience in 3PL, freight brokerage, or trucking operations preferred.
• Strong understanding of transportation, logistics, and supply chain management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using TMS software, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• On-time pickup and delivery percentage.
• Carrier and customer satisfaction.
• Load profitability.
• Response and issue resolution time.
• Data and documentation accuracy.

Minimum Technical and Work Environment Requirements:

• Internet Connection:
• Primary internet connection with a minimum speed of 15 Mbps.
• Backup internet connection with at least 10 Mbps.
• Backup connection must be capable of supporting work during a power outage.

• Primary Device:
• Desktop or laptop equipped with at least:
• Intel Core i5 (8th generation or newer), Intel Core i3 (10th generation or newer), AMD Ryzen 5, or an equivalent processor.
• A minimum of 8 GB RAM.

• Backup Device:
• Must meet or exceed the performance of an Intel Core i3 processor.
• Must be functional during power interruptions.

• A functioning webcam.
• A noise-canceling USB headset.
• A quiet, dedicated home office space.
