Our Total Compensation team is dedicated to delivering an exceptional payroll experience—grounded in accuracy, accountability, and genuine care for our people. From end to end, the team ensures payroll operations run seamlessly, with a strong focus on compliance, consistency, and service.
Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, the Total Compensation Coordinator is an important contributor to that experience, supporting both payroll and benefits operations. This role is well suited for someone looking to build a career in total compensation, with a strong attention to detail and a drive to learn, grow, and take ownership. This is an in-office role based in Vancouver, BC.
Wage Range
$50,000 - $60,000 annually
The salary range is dependent on skill and work experience.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and distribute payroll-related reports to support operational needs
• Support full-cycle payroll processing, including data preparation and balancing
• Prepare and submit Records of Employment (ROEs) accurately and on time
• Respond to payroll inquiries from internal stakeholders and external agencies (e.g., CRA, Service Canada, WCB, WSIB)
• Partner closely with store-level operators to provide guidance and troubleshoot payroll-related matters
• Compile and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and documentation as required by the department
• Contribute to ongoing projects, process improvements, and team initiatives
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Interest in payroll or total compensation; working toward (or planning to pursue) a PCP designation through the National Payroll Institute is considered an asset
• Exposure to payroll systems or HRIS platforms is an asset, with a demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• A proactive, self-directed approach—you take initiative and follow through with accountability
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
• High level of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive information
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams
• Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
