Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our team in Oldcastle. This role will primarily support the repairs and spares side of the business, ensuring high-quality tooling solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with welding, surface grinding, dedthru grinding, and assembly work. Some customer-facing interactions will be required, making strong communication skills a valuable asset.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacture, modify, and repair precision tools, jigs, and fixtures.

Support welding, surface grinding, and dedthru grinding operations as required.

Assemble and fit mechanical components with high precision.

Assist in the maintenance and repair of tooling to ensure minimal downtime.

Work closely with the team to support the repairs and spares division.

Provide technical support and guidance to customers when needed.

Ensure all work meets quality standards and project deadlines.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

Qualification in Toolmaking or a related field.

Proven experience in a toolmaking or precision engineering environment.

Strong skills in surface grinding, dedthru grinding, welding, and assembly.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Experience in tool repair and maintenance is highly desirable.

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills for occasional customer interactions.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
