Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age
Ability to pass a background check upon hire
Valid TN driver's license
Valid vehicle insurance
Educational Requirements and Preferences
Bachelor's degree in technology or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
2+ years in IDD services with Enabling Technology experience required
5+ years of supervisory and leadership experience required
1 year of experience in a helpdesk or technical support environment
CompTIA ITF+ (Information Technology Fundamentals)
– Recommended for beginners
CompTIA A+
– Preferred foundational support certification
Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
– Preferred
Google IT Support Certificate
– Accepted equivalent
HDI Support Center Analyst (HDI-SCA)

The Director of Innovative Services and Enabling Technology oversees all aspects of Charles Lea Center’s Home and Community Based and Innovative Living Services supported through Enabling Technology, in the state of Tennessee for individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disability (IDD). Works closely with the TN Department of Disability and Aging (DDA) to enhance lives and support increased independence in individual’s homes and community using enabling technology and innovative services. Provides technical supports to individuals, CLC and DDA, and ensures system success and maintenance, working closely with CLC’s Sr Director of IT and Innovative Services. Provides supervision to Assistant Director of Home and Community Based Services.
Home and Community Based Services/Innovative Living Services
Oversees the general operations of all Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) and Innovative Living Services provided in Tennessee- Supervises CLC’s Assistant Director of Home and Community Based Services
Responsible for ensuring that TN HCBS, ET and Innovative Living Services operates within all applicable local, state and federal guidelines, and regulations. Ensures that program meets all required licensing and certification requirements of Tennessee.
Provides on-site monitoring of all Innovating living houses at least monthly
Ensures that the programs supported have the necessary resources and tools to effectively provide quality services.
Responsible for overseeing and maintaining HCBS program budgets and payroll expenses.
Serves as the liaison to all residential partners (i.e Scioto) ensuring that all aspects of CLC’s lease agreement are met.
Responsible for the development and implementation of short-term goals for all HCBS and program. Assists in the development TN’s long-term goals.
Enabling Technology
Manages all aspects related to TN’s Enabling Technology program.
Oversees all communication and collaboration with TN DDA regarding the enabling technology program
Responsible for the management of all ET referrals and follows all CLC intake procedures.
Assists with monitoring support and assistive technologies across programs (e.g., Simply Home, Ring, Wyze, and similar platforms). Respond promptly to all alerts generated by remote support systems, including text messages, emails, and phone calls
Provides remote troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues
Assists with new user setup, basic account changes, access troubleshooting, and user education on agency’s enabling technology.
Attends required trainings related to technology and/or new assistive technology products.
Assists in providing CLC consultation to external agencies and/or providers as guided by CLC’s Innovation Services dept.
