We are looking for a Timetabling and Enrolment Adviser to join our collaborative and high-performing team.

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the student experience behind the scenes — ensuring timetables are well designed, enrolment processes run smoothly, and students can access the courses they need without unnecessary barriers.

You’ll work across both timetabling and enrolment, using your analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to interpret complex information, resolve issues, and support the delivery of a seamless academic experience.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with systems, solving puzzles, and collaborating with others to make things work better for students and staff alike.

The salary range for this role is $73,400- $90,700 prorated per annum depending on experience and qualifications. This is a part-time, 18.75 hours per week, permanent role.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the development and delivery of academic timetables that optimise student experience and space utilisation
• Coordinating with faculties to ensure teaching requirements, room allocations, and staff availability are accurately reflected
• Setting up and maintaining enrolment controls, and resolving related issues
• Troubleshooting timetable and enrolment challenges, ensuring timely and effective resolution
• Processing enrolment support activities and assisting faculties with complex cases
• Collaborating with Programme Advisers, academic staff, and service teams across the University
• Monitoring enrolment patterns and making updates to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance systems, processes, and service delivery

You are a detail-oriented and solutions-focused professional who enjoys working in a complex environment. You bring a calm and methodical approach to problem-solving and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.

You’re also a strong collaborator, able to build effective relationships and communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders.

 

Ngā pūkenga motuhake | Important skills and experience

• A Bachelor’s degree or relevant tertiary qualification
• Around 3–4 years’ experience delivering high-quality customer service in a complex environment
• Experience working with and supporting a diverse range of clients or stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex information
• Confidence navigating and working across multiple systems and digital tools
• Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams
• A proactive mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and service excellence

Experience in a large organisation, or with systems such as PeopleSoft (CS9) or timetabling tools (e.g. Syllabus Plus), would be advantageous but is not essential.
