Job Title: Tier 1 IT Support Specialist (Onsite - OakBrook, IL)
Job Overview:
We seek a dependable and customer-focused Tier 1 IT Support Specialist to provide on-site, face-to-face technical support for our corporate office users. This role is critical in ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations across our business units, many supporting healthcare functions. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and eager to solve problems in person while maintaining clear communication and excellent follow-through.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for on-site staff needing technical assistance with computers, phones, applications, and printers.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues on Windows laptops and desktops
Set up and configure new hire equipment, including Intune-enrolled devices, phones, and user access
Support Entra ID (Azure AD) identity-related requests, including password resets, MFA issues, and group assignments
Maintain office IT infrastructure such as network printers, wireless access points, docking stations, and conference rooms
Log and manage support tickets using Jira, escalating when necessary
Provide basic training or walkthroughs to end-users for standard tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
Participate in hardware inventory, software license tracking, and office IT audits
Ensure adherence to HIPAA and HITRUST-aligned security and compliance practices
Requirements:
1–2 years of professional IT support experience in an office environment
Hands-on experience supporting Windows systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and Azure
Solid troubleshooting skills for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and basic networking
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work directly with non-technical users
Punctual and dependable with a customer-first mindset
Comfortable following SOPs and documenting resolutions
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to Microsoft Intune and endpoint security tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender)
Familiarity with Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), VPN clients, and MFA tools
Experience in a healthcare or regulated industry (HIPAA/HITRUST knowledge is a plus)
Experience with conference room A/V systems, printers, and VOIP phones
Work Environment:
100% on-site position located in our Oak Brook, IL office
Standard business hours with flexibility required for device setup, updates, on-call, or vendor visits
Face-to-face user interaction is a core part of this role
