Third Party Technology Risk Consultant - Banking

We are looking for a Third Party Technology Risk Consultant with solid experience in Technology Risk, IT Risk or Third Party Risk Management within the banking or financial services sector. This role focuses on supporting corporate and financial services clients in the definition and implementation of Third Party Risk Management frameworks, technological governance and regulatory compliance. The consultant will work closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application and business teams, contributing directly to operational resilience and informed business decision‑making.

Functions:

– Execute technology, information security, continuity and compliance risk assessments on third parties and critical suppliers, identifying control gaps, defining mitigation plans and associated evidence.
– Perform end‑to‑end due diligence of critical vendors, including service analysis, review of cybersecurity, continuity and operational‑resilience controls, and preparation of business‑oriented risk reports.
– Maintain and evolve third‑party risk inventories and dashboards, ensuring information quality, KPI/KRI tracking and evidence traceability.
– Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application and business teams to translate regulatory requirements into implementable controls, promoting process improvements and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

– Act as a functional reference in Third Party Risk Management for banking and financial services units, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks and internal policies.
– Coordinate the execution of third‑party assessments and due diligence activities, ensuring methodological consistency and accurate residual‑risk evaluation.
– Produce executive and technical documentation, including risk reports, committee presentations, dashboards and action‑plan tracking for senior stakeholders and the three lines of defense.
– Support internal, external and regulatory audits by preparing controls and evidence, managing requests and overseeing the closure of findings.
– Promote continuous improvement and automation initiatives in third‑party risk management processes.
– Maintain ongoing interaction with global vendors, technical areas and compliance teams, ensuring clear commitments within contracts and SLAs.

Requirements:

– More than 4 years of experience in Technology Risk, IT Risk, GRC or Third Party Risk Management roles within banking, financial services or Big4.
– Strong knowledge of technology, security, business‑continuity and compliance risks applicable to third‑party services (on‑premise, cloud, managed services and SaaS).
– Experience collaborating with technical and business teams to implement controls and manage audit‑ready evidence.
– Ability to prepare risk documentation, support audits, manage action plans and communicate effectively with technical and executive stakeholders.
– English level C1.
– University degree.

Nice to have:

– Knowledge of international standards such as ISO 27001 and ISO 22301.
– Experience with third‑party risk dashboards, KPI/KRI reporting and evidence management workflows.
– Familiarity with regulatory and operational‑resilience requirements in the banking sector.
– Certifications such as CISA, CISM or CRISC are a plus.
