<key activities / role and responsibilities>

Thermal Design and Thermal Analysis of Satellites

Optimize the combination of passive and active thermal control methods to keep each part of the satellite within its allowable temperature range. Perform design activities considering not only thermal control performance but also weight, cost, and manufacturability.

Design thermal instrumentation and plan its implementation on the satellite.

Develop satellite thermal mathematical models and analytically predict satellite temperature distributions and heater power consumption. Improve the accuracy of the thermal mathematical models using thermal balance test results.

Coordinate thermal interfaces between the satellite system and each subsystem.

Satellite Thermal Testing

Plan the fabrication, assembly, and verification of the thermal control subsystem.

Prepare test plans and procedures for thermal balance and thermal vacuum tests.

Participate in the tests as the technical lead and conduct evaluations.

In collaboration with the manufacturing department, design and maintain test setups and test fixtures for thermal tests.

Development Management

Establish and execute development plans for the thermal control subsystem.

Create and manage development schedules and cost plans.

Handle coordination and negotiations with thermal instrumentation component manufacturers and external vendors.

Reporting

Provide timely progress updates and results to the group manager and project manager regarding thermal design and analysis, testing, and development management.

<Mandatory>

・Possess basic knowledge of heat transfer through conduction and radiation.
・Have experience in thermal design, thermal analysis, and thermal testing (experience in the space industry is not required).
・TOEIC score of 700 or higher.

<Desirable> 

・Ability to use the thermal analysis software Thermal Desktop.
・Basic knowledge of orbital mechanics.

＜職務内容/役割・責任＞

・衛星の熱設計・熱解析 
　・衛星各部を許容温度範囲に維持するべく、受動及び能動熱制御の組み合わせを最適化する。熱制御の性能の他、重量・コスト、および製造性を考慮した設計を行う。 
　・熱計装設計、及び衛星への実装設計を行う。 
　・衛星熱数学モデルを作成し、解析的に衛星温度分布及びヒータ電力の予測を行う。また、熱平衡試験結果を用い、熱数学モデルの精度向上を行う。  
　・衛星システム、及び各サブシステム間の熱インタフェースを調整する。  
・衛星の熱試験  
　・熱制御サブシステムの製造、組立および検証計画の立案を行う 
　・熱平衡・熱真空試験の試験計画書・手順書を作成する。技術担当として試験に立会い評価を行う。 
　・製造部門とともに、熱試験の試験系および試験冶具の設計および整備を行う。 
・開発マネジメント  
　・熱制御サブシステムの開発計画を策定し、遂行する 
　・開発スケジュールおよびコストの計画立案・管理を行う。 
　・熱計装部品製造業者、外注業者との折衝を担当する 
・報告  
　・熱設計解析、試験、開発マネジメントそれぞれについて、適時グループマネージャー、プロジェクトマネージャーに進捗、結果を報告する。  

<必須条件>

・伝導及び放射による熱伝達に関し基本的な知識を有すること  
・熱設計・熱解析・熱試験の経験があること （宇宙業界での経験は問わない） 
・TOEIC 700以上 

<望ましい条件> 

・熱解析ソフトウェアThermal Desktopを使用できること。  
・軌道力学の基礎知識
