Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed mental health professional who is passionate about providing high-quality therapy to a diverse client population. The ideal candidate is warm, collaborative, self-directed, and committed to offering culturally sensitive, inclusive, and trauma-informed care.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position with flexible scheduling, strong administrative support, and a consistent flow of referrals. Therapists may work hybrid or fully in-person.
Responsibilities
Provide individual therapy to children, adolescents, and/or adults (depending on your specialty)
Maintain a warm, nonjudgmental, professional therapeutic presence
Conduct intake assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain documentation in compliance with state and insurance standards
Use evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to client's needs
Coordinate care with other providers when appropriate
Maintain ethical and legal standards in accordance with licensure and HIPAA
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field
Active Michigan license (LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LLP, LP, LMFT, etc.)
Strong clinical judgment and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with practice values
Commitment to culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, or life transitions
Experience with children, adolescents, young adults, couples, or families
Training in modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, EFT, ACT, or Motivational Interviewing
Experience providing therapy in hybrid or in-person environments
