Our Theatre Department at Dudley Private and Ramsay Surgical Centre is looking for a dynamic Nurse to lead our team across 8 state-of-the-art operating theatres and a diverse surgical portfolio across orthopaedics, neurosurgery, paediatrics, gynae, urology, general surgery and ophthalmology.
We are looking for an experienced or emerging leader who is passionate about inspiring, supporting and mentoring a dedicated nursing team while helping us deliver exceptional care across our surgical services.
About the Role
As the NUM you will be taking on a key leadership role within the unit, supported by a cohesive and dedicated team of Theatre Floor Managers, Registered and Enrolled Nurses, Support and Administrative staff.
A significant part of the NUM role is to effectively lead your team, ensuring staff are equipped to perform their roles to the highest standards within a safe and collaborative environment.
In this role you will:
Be responsible for the day to day management of the Theatre Department
Have a strong commitment to patient safety, customer and partner services
Have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with the Doctors and Staff
Be part of a support hospital-wide senior leadership team
About You
You are an experienced nurse with a passion for surgical excellence and a commitment to safe, evidence-based practice. You bring a collaborative leadership style that inspires and motivates your team where customer focus is a priority in all aspects of care delivered.
You will also demonstrate the following:
Relevant registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse.
Minimum of five years’ experience in an acute hospital environment essential
Demonstrated recent experience and knowledge within theatre, anaesthetics and recovery nursing
Demonstrated experience in a leadership or management role
Proven ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and material resources
Ability to apply research findings to clinical practice
Post Graduate Qualifications in Perioperative Nursing and or Health/Business and/or Management (desirable)
Remuneration
A base hourly rate ranging from $68.49 - $73.68 + superannuation + applicable penalty rates. Based on experience level and qualifications (NSW Nursing/Midwifery Unit Manager Level 1-3)

Requirements
Provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the last 12 months
According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
