Position Summary
The Theatre Business & Events Manager is responsible for planning and executing theatre events while managing the financial and operational components that support each performance. This position ensures excellence from initial planning through final settlement while leading event execution and supporting cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage assigned theatre events from start to finish
Lead event execution, including serving as Event or House Manager
Build and communicate Event Prep Schedules (EPS) across departments
Oversee event financials, reporting, and settlements
Track revenue and expenses and identify opportunities for improvement
Coordinate with Production, Ticketing, Security, and Guest Services teams
Supervise event staff and support a high-quality guest experience
Maintain organized event files, contracts, and reporting systems
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in event operations, venue management, or similar field
Strong financial and organizational skills
Experience planning and managing live events
Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
Willingness to work nights and weekends as events require
