As a Railway Systems Test Engineer, you will be involved in the verification, validation and integration of onboard train control and monitoring systems throughout the V-cycle.

Depending on your expertise, you will contribute to the definition, execution and documentation of test activities under laboratory and real operational conditions.

 

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and executing test strategies, test plans and test cases for train control and subsystems
• Performing verification and validation activities on HiL benches, simulators (TrainLab) and real trains
• Preparing and configuring test environments (hardware, software, configurations)
• Executing functional, integration and system-level tests
• Analyzing test results, logs and traces, and reporting findings clearly
• Supporting integration activities and investigations during test campaigns

 

Test activities may cover several levels:

• Simulation (PC-based, controllers, embedded software)
• HiL (Hardware-In-the-Loop) test benches
• TrainLab (full train simulator)
• On-site testing on trains under real operating conditions

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field
• You have experience in test, validation or systems integration in an industrial environment (railway experience is a strong asset)
• You are comfortable working with test benches, simulators or validation tools
• You have a good understanding of control systems, embedded systems or train subsystems (TCMS, PACIS, CCTV, communication systems, etc.)
• Knowledge of Linux/Windows environments, basic networking and scripting or programming is an asset
• You are rigorous, analytical and comfortable working both in the lab and in the field
• You have professional proficiency in English and a good French level
