Position Description:
Outpost Technologies is seeking a talented Test Specialist to support government testing efforts by operating and maintaining EO/IR systems.
The Candidate will work on a multi-disciplinary team to support EO/IR system operations for government testing environments. The Candidate will be responsible for equipment set up/breakdown, inspection, tracking, troubleshooting, data collection, data and equipment evaluation, and analysis. This position requires up to 50% travel.
Communication skills are strongly desired. The Candidate must be self-motivated and produce excellent work that exceeds customer expectations. The Candidate must always present a professional demeanor while representing Outpost Technologies to customers and stakeholders.
The posted compensation reflects the anticipated salary range for this position. Actual pay will be determined by a variety of factors including experience, education, certifications, and alignment with internal compensation structures specific to government contracting requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
Travelling to support EO/IR operation at various CONUS locations
EO/IR system operation, data collection, and analysis
Electronic system troubleshooting
Push software system updates (Linux & Windows systems)
Monitoring equipment condition & maintenance recommendations and actively pursue improvements to systems
Maintain system documentation including- daily system updates, preventative maintenance items, issue logs, etc.
Equipment support coordination
Basic Qualifications:
Willingness to travel up to 50%
Ability to lift 50-100lbs.
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technical (engineering/science) field and 3+ years of experience or 9+ years of technician experience
Demonstrated work experience with basic networking and operating system management
Hands-on technical experience
Time management and planning skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to go above and beyond to exceed customer expectations
