Test Manager (m/w/d)

Your mission:
PETER DÖHLE Schiffahrts-KG is a maritime service provider with roots in Hamburg and home ports around the world. We see ourselves as a tradition-rich yet forward-looking group of companies offering tailored solutions for the entire shipping industry. To strengthen our IT department, we are looking for you to join us as soon as possible as Test Manager (m/f/d). The role is based at our headquarters in Hamburg to ensure close collaboration with our business departments.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Development and implementation of a holistic test strategy
• Functional leadership of the international tester team and acting as the central interface to our colleagues in Manila
• Establishing and further developing centralised testing processes in close collaboration with our software development teams
• Defining documentation standards for the testing process
• Driving forward test automation
• Coordination and oversight of testing activities across the various test levels
• Regular evaluation of testing activities
• Active support of testing activities when needed
• Helping to shape testability and quality already during the development process

Your profile:
• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in development & testing
• Experience in the functional leadership of testing teams; ISTQB Tester Foundation certification is ideal
• Solid knowledge of test automation
• Experience working with teams in the Philippines and an understanding of the local working and corporate culture; Tagalog language skills are an advantage
• A background in software development to holistically approach quality from code to delivery is desirable 
• Independent way of working, assertiveness, strong communication skills with various stakeholders
• Enjoyment of structured work
• Experience with web applications, Cypress, GitLab, XRay
• Very good English skills required; German skills are an advantage
