As a Test Engineering Intern you will play a key role in moving our test engineering forward at a groundbreaking climate technology startup, working closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical and Test engineers. If you are looking for a project-based summer internship in which you'll get hands on experience, this is the role for you!
This is a full time, Summer opportunity at our research and development facility in Berkeley, California.
Pay rate: $25 per hour, plus up to $400 in travel reimbursement for those relocating from outside of the Bay Area.
What You’ll Do Here
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Aircapture test equipment and machines to evaluate design changes, validate hardware, and pursue continuous improvement through Design of Experiments (DOE)
• Write and execute test plans and test reports to support Aircapture’s engineering efforts
• Create documentation packages for new and ongoing Aircapture projects
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and investigation to identify trends, optimize our DAC machines, and support test results
• Partner with the data analysis team to develop new data pathways for visualization and modeling
Your Skills and Abilities Include
• Completed Junior year or equivalent studying Mechanical Engineering or a related field by Summer 2025
• Experience with developing and carrying out test plans or procedures
• Experience with data analysis and visualization
• Basic understanding of engineering concepts such as thermodynamics, chemistry, and power systems
• Ability to work proactively, manage a diverse workload, and effectively present and communicate technical information
• Hands-on machine shop experience a plus
