Test Automation Engineer

We are on the lookout for a Mobile Test Automation Engineer (Quick Commerce) to join the Quick Commerce Android team  on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences. 

We are a dynamic team focused on developing solutions that cover order fulfillment, assortment, promotions and inventory management. Our vendor customers—ranging from small corner shops to large supermarkets—rely on our reliable, data-driven platform to reach consumers through mobile, web, and API interfaces.

This role focuses on ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of our Android applications through robust automated testing. The engineer will design, develop, and maintain Appium-based automation frameworks and test suites, working closely with Android developers and product partners in an agile environment.  If you are ready for an innovative E-Commerce challenge, we have the opportunity for you!

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for Android applications using Appium

• Execute automated and manual tests to validate features, bug fixes, and production releases

Collaborate closely with Android developers to improve application testability and quality standards

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing

• Identify test gaps and contribute to improving overall Android test coverage

• Analyze automation failures, debug issues, and provide detailed defect reports

• Validate UI, functional, and regression scenarios across multiple Android devices and OS versions

• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies

• Maintain and enhance test documentation, test plans, and automation guidelines

Be part of redefining how customers experience quick commerce. You’ll help build technology that scales our non-food offerings, reaching new market segments and driving revenue growth. By innovating within our Quick Commerce Team, you’ll make Delivery Hero the go-to platform for a broad range of products, helping us grow faster and deliver more value to customers around the world.

• 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance

• 3+ years of android app testing experience

• 3+ years of test automation experience (e.g., WebdriverIO, Appium, RestAssured, Cucumber)

• Strong knowledge of OOP languages (e.g., JavaScript/Java/Kotlin)

• Experience with test strategy, case creation, and documentation

• Ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts and transpose them into clear concise documentation

• Proficient English communication skills

 

Nice to have

• Experience with Espresso

• Software development experience (Android experience is a plus)

• Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., GCP).

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Drone CI, GitHub Actions, Bitrise etc).

• Strong experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools like Grafana, Crashlytics, or Sentry
