Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and assign Korean OV projects (English, Japanese and other OVs), including Time code creation, English into Korean translation and QC for subtitling.

• Ensure accurate and culturally sensitive translations that resonate with the target audience.

• Collaborate with the translation team to address language-specific queries and provide constructive feedback.

• Oversee and ensure that projects are finished as scheduled and within budget and up to internal quality standards.

• Review scripts, translations, final product upon completion to ensure the highest possible technical/linguistic standards.

• Recruit and develop linguistic resources including translators and editors to increase growing capacity needs in collaboration with the subtitling tool and client guideline training as well as finalize rates based on experience, skill level and budget.

• Conform, proofread and perform other linguistic tasks in subtitling software, as needed.

• Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive content.

Requirements:
• Korean/English bilingual.

• Minimum of 2 years of film/broadcast translation and/or proofreading experience required.

• Proven project management/coordination experience in localization industry.

• Knowledge of professional subtitling software is highly desirable.

• Good understanding and in-depth knowledge of language/country-specific cultures, known as localization.

• Attention to detail combined with the ability to work quickly to meet deadlines and a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication skills.
