Client is looking for someone who can do the jobs end to end. Most of the resumes are rejected due to their experience in working in slices (reporting or ETL or Teradata or some tools)

A person preferably who have worked in smaller but specialized firms would have done the jobs end to end.

Most of the candidates have very less SQL knowledge.

Another major comment is on the understanding of data. Most of them just pass on the data and don’t understand why it’s used. From a table structure point of view, many don’t bother about what the data in a particular table does and why is it so. A detailed understanding of the tables is necessary.
