Job Description

Position :             Teradata Developer
Location:             Montreal, Canada
Duration:             Long term
Salary:                 No constraint for the right candidate. (Preferably -$100,000/annum)

Local candidate highly preferred.

Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident of Canada

• Overall 10 years' experience, aability to work independently (consulting role) with users to understand requirements
• Must have project experience in implementing solutions in Teradata environment
• Minimum of 5- 6 years strong experience in Client Teradata
• Good exposure in SQL and UNIX environment
• Thorough in Data Warehouse concepts and Modeling
• Expert experience in Teradata Utilities, Aggregates and building efficient views

1. Use Teradata utilities fastload, multiload, tpump to load data.
2. Write BTEQ scripts to transform data.
3. Write Fastexport scripts to export data.
4. Write, test and implement Teradata Fastload, Multiload and Bteq scripts, DML and DDL.
5. Construct Korn shell driver routines (write, test and implement UNIX scripts).
6. Write views based on user and/or reporting requirements.
7. Gather system design requirements, design and write system specifications.
8. SQL proficient.
