Position Summary
McGill’s Desautels Faculty of Management invites applications for one Assistant /Advanced Assistant Professor tenure-track position in the Marketing Area. The start date for the position is August 1, 2027. Candidates must have (or be near completion of) a Ph.D. in August 2027. The position is open to candidates in any area of specialization in marketing. We have a particular interest in candidates with research and teaching focus in the faculty priority areas of Innovation, Analytics, AI & Advanced Digital Technologies, Sustainability, or Equity, Diversity & Inclusion; however, all research areas are welcome.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to advance a cutting-edge, compelling, and impactful research agenda. The ideal candidate will have evidence of effective teaching, an experience-appropriate record of research publications in high quality, peer-reviewed journals, and clear promise of conducting innovative and important research publishable in the top journals in marketing such as those listed on the Desautels 22. Successful candidates are also expected to work with doctoral students, to teach in our undergraduate and graduate programs, and contribute to the administration of the Area and Faculty. McGill University is an English-language university where teaching and research activities are conducted in the English language, thereby requiring English communication both verbally and in writing; but knowledge of French or a willingness to learn French is desirable.
