(Temporary) Sr Frontend Web Developer - Remote

What You Will Do

We’re looking for a remote Temporary Sr. Frontend Developer to join our team and help continue building our Services Solutions. You will be responsible for building high-quality, responsive user interfaces and contributing to architectural decisions for our solution. We value clean code, automated testing, and a collaborative mindset. This solution is a free and open-source framework for managing operations of SQL/NoSQL based databases and servers or cloud instances.

You should find these keywords familiar and very appealing: React, JavaScript, HTML5,, JSON, CSS/LESS, Webpack, UX, data visualization and Micro Frontend Architecture. This position is mostly web frontend programming but understanding Python will help you in a better understanding of the backend of our product. As an open source company, we are trying to use the power of existing open source projects and also make our contribution to some popular repositories. The work is challenging, but that’s why it’s also fun and rewarding! Plus, our team is small, so you and your work will have a large impact.

What You Will Do

• Design and develop robust, responsive web applications using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems

• Collaborate closely with backend engineers to define API specifications and integrate with Python-based backend services

• Participate in code reviews, write automated tests, and ensure software quality standards are met

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

• Translate UI/UX design wireframes into high-quality code

• Work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication with the team

Your Experience

• Strong proficiency in React and JavaScript (ES6+)

• Experience with MUI (Material-UI), HTML5, CSS3, and pre-processors (LESS/SASS)

• Deep understanding of React workflows (Hooks, Context API, or Redux)

• Experience with modern build pipelines (Vite or Webpack)

• Understanding of programming fundamentals

• Understanding of testing fundamentals, or desire and ability to learn and master

• Agile (Scrum) practice (deliver working code regularly)

• UI engineering best practices: accessibility, responsive design, and performance

• UX theory and practice

• Excellent written and verbal English

• Ability to work with others in team

• Ability to work independently as well as with the team

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Familiarity with Python, FastAPI, or similar frameworks

• Familiarity with secure web app constraints (auth, authorization, CSRF/CSP concepts)

• Experience with data visualization or charting libraries (d3, Highcharts, Rickshaw, etc.)

• Experience working with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.

• Experience with Docker

• Experience building distributed web apps

• Experience migrating server-side templates to Single Page Applications

• Experience with Micro Frontend architecture

• Tailwind CSS

• SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
