Temporary Shipping and Receiving Associate

Parallel Employment Group is seeking a Temporary Shipping and Receiving Associate to assist with our logistics and warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring that all materials are handled safely and efficiently.

Job Type: Temporary (estimate of 3 months)

Location: Racine, WI

1st Shift: 7:00 am -3:30 pm, M-F

Pay: $20-22 based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate and correct packaging of product for shipping using our procedures and customer specifications.
• Customer demands must be recognized and adhered to.
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Creates and affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
• Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
• Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Verify the quantity and quality of material received.
• Place incoming materials into storage.
• Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.

Requirements:
• Must have shipping and receiving experience
• Understand the Epicor system.
• Capable of reading and understanding the directions contained in work instructions.
• Capable of understanding simple blueprints or drawings.
• Capable of examining a problem systematically and be able to solve the problem.
• Must be able to write clearly and concisely in English.
• Good communicator.
• Previous experience operating Forklift Required, Hoist preferred.
• Experienced with computer data entry.
