We are seeking an EHS Engineer. Right now, our need is for someone full-time for about a month and then we would re-evaluate the need at that point.
Job Location: Racine, WI
Job Type: interim basis
Salary: Range would be between $63,500 and $82,400.00
Duration: approx. 1 month
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead site environmental programs including Environmental Management System, including execution of Federal, State and Local permitting for air, water, waste, and hazardous waste
• Interface with governmental regulatory entities (Air and Water, outside consultants)
• Control and keep records for all relevant agency interactions as required by OSHA
• Recognize, evaluate and recommend controls for conditions or processes which could negatively affect safety, health or the environment
• Maintain and improve systems to comply with all relevant regulations and other requirements
• Administer Occupational Health and Safety programs
• Participate in management of change process for safety and environmental aspects
• Identify and fulfill EHS training requirements for the Emergency Response Team
• Monitor the effectiveness of EHS programs
• Lead Sustainability efforts and assist with sustainability reporting
• Supports ISO14001 Internal and External audits and recertifications
• Supports the team to develop ISO45001 and ISO50001 capabilities to become certified
SAFETY:
• Inspections – grounds, facilities, equipment (Lock Out Tag Out, Machine Guarding, etc.)
• Training – deliver classroom training within skill set, coordinate online training
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Safety Sciences or related field required
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and the fundamentals of safety and industrial hygiene.
• OSHA 30 Hour General Industry
• RCRA Hazardous Waste per 40 CFR Part 262 Subpart C
• DOT Hazmat Ground Shipper per 49 CFR Part 172 Subpart H
• Knowledge of EPA regulations and compliance requirements.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Certification in Environmental, Health and Safety Sciences preferred (CIH, CSP, CHMM, etc.)
