About the Role
As a Telephone Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our sales team by managing incoming enquiries and proactively contacting existing customer base to generate sales opportunities. You will help grow our telephone customer base, maintain strong relationships, and ensure customers receive knowledgeable advice and excellent service. This role is a temporary 6-month fixed term contract.
This role combines telephone sales, customer support, lead generation and sales administration, making it perfect for someone who enjoys both sales and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
• Answer incoming telephone calls and process customer orders efficiently
• Conduct outbound telemarketing calls to our warm lead database of previous customers (upwards of 100 calls per day)
• Develop and manage our database of customers
• Add value to existing customer accounts through upselling and product recommendations
• Create and maintain accurate customer records within the company database
• Respond to customer calls and emails, providing clear technical advice to support their requirements
• Support and contribute to sales-driven marketing campaigns
• Provide administrative support to account managers when required
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
• Confident and professional when speaking with customers on the phone
• Sales-driven with strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working towards targets in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
• Positive, motivated and proactive with a strong “can-do” attitude
• Previous sales, customer service or telemarketing experience is beneficial but not essential.
