PRIORITY, one of the largest and fastest growing Management and IT consulting firms in Greece, is currently seeking a Senior Telecom Infrastructure Project Manager on behalf of our client in the telecommunications sector to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex fiber and submarine cable deployment projects.
The position is based in Athens, with travel across Greece, including the Cyclades and Crete, as required by project needs. This is a 2-year fixed-term contract, with the option for a 1-year extension.
This is a high-visibility role with executive exposure and full responsibility for project governance, financial oversight, regulatory coordination, and multi-stakeholder alignment.
Job Overview:
The Senior Telecom Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing complex telecom infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and according to client specifications. You will play a crucial role in coordinating the efforts of team members, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and manage overall progress of telecom infrastructure, fiber, and data center deployment projects (terrestrial & submarine segments).
• Own project planning, scheduling, and milestone control across multiple workstreams.
• Manage and control project budgets, including cost tracking, payments, forecasting, and variance reporting.
• Act as the main coordination point between:
• Construction contractors responsible for terrestrial networks
• International teams delivering submarine cable installation
• Oversee permitting and licensing processes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with public authorities, regional administrations, municipalities, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and H&S requirements.
• Identify, assess, and manage technical, financial, and schedule-related risks.
• Prepare executive-level progress and status reports for senior management and ExCo members.
• Ensure delivery in line with contractual obligations, quality standards, and agreed timelines.
Requirements:
Qualifications/Skills:
Must-Have
• Proven senior Project Management experience in complex telecom or infrastructure deployments.
• Strong expertise in project planning, schedule control, RAID management, and governance.
• Demonstrated experience in budget ownership and financial tracking.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and payment cycles.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive reporting skills.
• Hands-on involvement in permitting and authority engagement.
• Fluency in Greek and English (written & spoken).
Nice-to-Have
• Experience with subsea cable systems.
• Exposure to combined terrestrial and submarine delivery environments.
• PMP / PRINCE2 or equivalent certification.
• Strong command of modern PM tools and reporting systems.
