Technology Support Assistant
Paid Part-Time Opportunity for a College Student
Support IT operations, drive efficiency, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives
Position Objective
To increase operational efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs, we are proposing a short-term, paid, part-time position for a college student targeting the spring semester (starting as early as this June, depending on the candidate)
This position, titled Technology Support Intern, will provide hands-on exposure to IT support and technical operations while handling essential administrative and organizational tasks that the full-time IT team currently lacks bandwidth to complete.
Primary Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing, and other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.
Work with the IT team to set up, upgrade, and decommission, and track company assets, including Laptops, iPhones, and iPads
Audit devices (location/ownership) to ensure accurate tracking and decommission unused assets
Update 3rd party provider account details and ensure the records are accurate
Validate software licensing and eliminate redundant subscriptions
Maintain internal IT documentation (asset lists, user guides, process notes)
Organize the supply closet and ensure spare equipment is tracked and accessible
Assist with organizing the supply closet and ensuring spare equipment and accessories are cataloged and accessible.
Assist in maintaining internal IT documentation, including asset lists, user guides, and process notes.
Assist Helpdesk with End User Support tasks, based on interest.
