Technology Strategy Consultant Job Description

Key responsibilities:

• Partner with clients to define and diagnose complex technology challenges and opportunities, aligning technology strategy with business objectives
• Develop comprehensive technology strategies that address digital transformation, cloud adoption, emerging technologies and IT operating models
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to provide technology insights and recommendations on customer requirements, IT architecture, cybersecurity, data strategy and digital innovation
• Work collaboratively in cross functional teams (i.e. business, IT and engineering stakeholders) to design and implement strategic technology initiatives
• Present findings and technology roadmaps to senior executives and stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, acting as a strategic advisor on technology trends, risks and opportunities
• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering their development in technology, strategy and consulting.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ Years of experience in consulting or equivalent, or similar experience in IT transformation, or corporate strategy with a technology focus
• Proven track record of solving technology-driven business problems and delivering measurable results
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably advanced degrees

Skills:

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and strong analytical abilities in areas such as technical innovation, cloud computing, AI, cybersecurity and data analytics
• Well-versed in both technology and business frameworks and capable of providing examples of successful transformations and lessons from failures
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with a talent for influencing and leading technology programs
• Ability to manage multiple technology focused priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Curiosity and entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for digital innovation and emerging technology trends
• Proficiency in industry standard tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, and technology specific platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud).
