Technology Expert (Security)

As a Technology Expert Security, you serve as a senior technical consultant with deep expertise in Fortinet‑based security solutions. You act as a technical leader both internally and externally, advising organizations on security within complex infrastructure environments. You guide consultants, take ownership of strategic security initiatives, and operate as a trusted advisor up to C‑level.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Pre-Sales

• Define the security strategy for customers with complex requirements.
• Integrate Fortinet solutions into broader security and infrastructure architectures.
• Take full technical ownership in security proposals (acting as bid architect).
• Contribute to marketing and security awareness initiatives.

Plan

• Lead POCs, assessments, and security discoveries.
• Design security architectures for complex customer environments.
• Convince stakeholders through technical depth and clear business relevance.
• Coach and support consultants.

Project Delivery

• Serve as the go‑to expert for consultants relying on your Fortinet knowledge.
• Ensure uniformity in security designs and align with the Enterprise Technology Architect.
• Guard best practices (firewalls, segmentation, SD‑WAN, ZTNA, etc.).

Consultancy & Technology Governance

• Advise on security policies, architectural models, and frameworks (NIST, ISO27001, ...).
• Deliver strong presentations to internal and external audiences, including C‑level.
• Translate complex technical security concepts into clear business value.

Technical Expertise

• Fortinet solutions: FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAuthenticator, FortiSwitch, FortiAP.
• SD‑WAN, IPS/IDS, VPN, ZTNA.
• Expert‑level certifications: NSE4–NSE7.
• Languages: Dutch (required), French, English.

Profile

• At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Consultant in Security.
• Experience with business cases, comparative security studies, and product evaluations.
• Confident presenting at executive level.
• Able to position complex security solutions within the customer’s business context.
