Technologist - Architecture (DATA Centres)

AECOM is seeking a Technologist - Architecture (DATA Centres) to be based in South Africa's Enterprise Capabilities office in Durban. This position will support a team locally based in South Africa and Global Teams. As a part of AECOM's culture, it offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement which accommodates both office and out-of-office work schedules.

Here is what you will be doing:

• Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
• Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
• Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
• Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
• Under some supervision, may complete design assignments of moderate complexity.
• Limited familiarity with codes, permits, and software applications related to the discipline.
• Introduced to the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications and discipline-associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards and procedures.
• Intermediate understanding of the purpose and use of vendor documents. 
• Introduced to the process of performing material take-offs for the discipline.

 

• Degree in Architectural Technology (BTech)
• Registered Candidate Architectural Technologist (SACAP)
• 3 years experience as an Architectural Technologist
