We have immediate openings for “Technician Spark EDM ” for one of the reputed MNC for Bangalore location.

Position: Technician Spark EDM

Location: Bangalore

Experience- 3 to 5 yrs experiance

Purpose of Position

• To operator the 2 CNC edm machine with tool changer.
• Capable of simple electorode designing.

Roles and responsibilities

• Must be able to read and understand drawing and capable of identify the edm operation.
• Knows how to operate the sedm machine without supervision.
• Capable of using all measuring instruments to an accuracy of 0.01mm
• Capable to spark the profileof simple insert (i.e. with 1-2 processes) with process planning details.
• Capable of setting the job and electrode to a accuracy of 0.01mm.
• Capable of producing the job in +/-0.02mm accuracy.
• Capable of understanding the flushing and carbon cleaning on job and electrode.
• Capable of deburring the electrode without damaging profile.
• Knows how to calculate and build up slip gauges for setting sine table to spark gate or counter bore.
• Capable of understanding clearly the opeartion wise process and identifying the electrodes
• Capable of setting the job and electrodes in alloted time and complete the sparking in the alloted time.
• Capable of running 2 machine's without supervision.
• Capable of taking dimension from CAD file.
• Ensure that the 1SO14001 and applicable legal requirements related to EMS are addressed appropriately in the areas handled
• Ensure that the Occupational Health & safety management system requirements are addressed appropriately in the areas handled.
• Active participation in Fire Fighting and responsible for the shift.

Qualification

DME or ITI

Work Experience

• Knowledge on the 3D modelling software.
• Knowledge on basic electrode design
• Knowledge on Basic preventive maintenance of the machine.
• Knowledge of chemical & handling & safety; emergency preparedness to handle spillage of chemicals & waste
• Knowledge of applicable legal requirements related to EMS & OHSMS.
