Summary of the Role:
As a Technician II, Process Engineering, you will be responsible for monitoring process parameters using Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and digital dashboards to ensure stable and efficient operations. You will handle equipment operation, setup, and changeovers, perform first-level troubleshooting, and respond to production line issues while supporting quality control through in-process checks and defect reporting. You will also assist with preventive maintenance, maintain accurate documentation and data analysis, and support process experiments, DOEs, and engineering trials to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities and Role Accountabilities:
• Monitor process parameters through Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and digital dashboards
• Perform equipment operation and monitoring
• Handle equipment setup and changeovers
• Conduct first-level troubleshooting and respond to production line issues
• Perform quality control and in-process checks; record and report defects while following standard quality protocols
• Provide preventive maintenance support
• Prepare documentation and reports and analyze data
• Support process experiments, DOEs, and engineering trials
Education and Work Experience:
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Electronics Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Computer Technology or a related field of study.
• Atleast 1 year of work experience in the relevant field.
• Experience in lapping or precision machining is highly desirable.
• Industry exposure in Electronics or Semiconductor Manufacturing setup is highly preferred.
Skills and Competency Requirements:
• Ability to operate, set up, and monitor production equipment while ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Understanding of quality standards, in-process checks, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to maintain stable and compliant operations.
• Ability to identify root causes of equipment or process issues and perform first-level troubleshooting in a timely manner.
• Capability to accurately record production data, defects, and reports while maintaining thorough and organized documentation.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and 5S practices to maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
• Familiarity with basic machine programming, automation systems, or digital interfaces used in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to interpret production data, dashboards, and reports to support operational decisions and continuous improvement.
• Basic understanding of preventive maintenance and minor mechanical repairs to support equipment reliability.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members, engineers, and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow.
• Capacity to assess process performance, evaluate trends, and contribute to process optimization initiatives.
