Technician - Electrical

Job Brief

Responsible for installing and maintaining electrical power and repairing any equipment or device that involves electricity

Your Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
• Maintain records and files, prepare reports, and maintain supplies and equipment
• Provide assistance during emergencies by operating floodlights, generators, flares, etc.

Requirements:
Your Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelors’ degree in electrical or related field
• Relevant certifications
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an electrician

Your Proficiencies

• Use of tools and equipment such as measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps
• Ability to read electrical drawings
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Communication skills
