Technical Writer

RMC is hiring for a Technical Writer to support our government client. Workload is focused upon supporting the safety and health management needs of a large Federal agency. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to translate complex technical concepts into accessible content for a variety of audiences.

This position has the ability to work remotely in the continental United States.

Position responsibilities include:

• Review all product deliverables ensuring the content is consistent, accurate and complete, following the style guide for the agency
• Develop, write, and maintain technical documentation including user guides, API docs, FAQs, and release notes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand technical information
• Simplify complex concepts into easy-to-understand content
• Manage documentation updates in response to product changes

Requirements:
Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer or similar role
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
• Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts
• This position requires an active Public Trust clearance. The selected qualified candidate must be able to successfully pass a DHS/TSA background investigation and clearance process.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current annual salary range for this position will be $55,000 to $65,000.
