Job Summary:
We are seeking a Technical Writer to develop comprehensive, structured, and user-friendly documentation for the Land Administration & Management Portal (LAMP), a digital platform designed to streamline land registration, record management, citizen services, and internal land department workflows.
The role involves creating high-quality documentation for multiple user groups including government officers, administrative staff, field survey teams, system administrators, and external stakeholders. The Technical Writer will produce clear and standardized documentation in both English and Urdu to support system adoption, training, and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Documentation Development
Develop comprehensive User Manuals for all key modules of the LAMP system in English and Urdu.
Prepare Role-Based Guides for various system users such as ADLR, GIS Manager, SCO, SCI, and field staff.
Create step-by-step process documentation for critical system workflows.
Document system configuration procedures where applicable.
Functional Understanding & Content Gathering
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams, and Project Managers to gather system information.
Attend functional walkthroughs, demos, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Review project documentation including BRDs, SRS, and system specifications.
Supporting Documentation
Develop and maintain:
Master User Manual
Administrator Guide
End User Manual
Operational & Support Manual
Installation & Deployment Guide
Training Manuals
Role-Based Manuals
Configuration Manuals
Quick Reference Guides (QRGs)
FAQs and Troubleshooting Guides
API Integration Documentation
Visual & Structural Standards
Incorporate screenshots, process diagrams, and workflow illustrations to improve clarity.
Maintain consistent formatting, version control, and documentation standards.
Ensure compliance with defined branding and documentation guidelines.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with the Project Manager and functional teams.
Participate in documentation review sessions.
Incorporate stakeholder feedback and maintain updated documentation aligned with system releases.
Required Skills:
Strong technical writing and documentation skills
Excellent written communication in English and Urdu
Ability to translate complex technical information into clear and user-friendly documentation
Experience creating user manuals, training materials, and process documentation
Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and documentation standards
Strong attention to detail and document structuring
Ability to create visual documentation elements such as flowcharts, diagrams, and screenshots
Experience with documentation tools such as MS Word, Visio, or similar tools
Required Experience:
3–5 years of experience in technical writing or documentation for software systems
Experience documenting enterprise systems, government systems, or large-scale platforms is preferred
Experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and QA teams
Education/Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related field
Relevant technical writing certifications will be considered a plus
