We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Specialist to join our team in Gaydon providing e expert-level support across advanced test, simulation, and durability environments. This role will play a pivotal part in the uplift of both hardware and software technologies within major simulation facilities and battery test operations.

• On Site: Full onsite presence

• Experience Level: Senior

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and optimisation of control, monitoring, and data‑driven test systems across multiple facilities.
• Provide expert support in test development, data handling, system configuration, and process refinement.
• Support major technology upgrades, ensuring smooth integration of new hardware and software platforms.
• Contribute to the development and alignment of advanced test strategies, including multi‑degree‑of‑freedom systems and battery‑focused test environments.
• Act as a senior problem solver for complex technical challenges involving system behaviour, integration, and durability performance.
• Work with global teams to ensure consistent processes, robust delivery, and high‑quality test outcomes.

Required Skills:

• Extensive background in test, simulation, or durability‑focused engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of control systems, data handling, and system configuration.
• Proven ability to integrate complex hardware and software within large‑scale test facilities.
• Demonstrated capability in diagnosing and resolving technical issues across multidisciplinary systems.
• Experience supporting the introduction or improvement of new tools, processes, or test methodologies.
• Ability to work with global teams and ensure consistent technical alignment across multiple sites.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and guide test development.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience contributing to long‑term test strategy development.
• Background in multi‑axis or complex mechanical test environments.
• Familiarity with emerging electrified system testing or battery‑related test approaches.
• Experience leading technical change or supporting major facility upgrades.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction.
