TikTok Privacy & Security team is responsible for building compliant and user-friendly privacy solutions for TikTok, with the goal of building trust among TikTok users, regulators, and the public. The team is working on TikTok's privacy-related systems, including data discovery, data access controls, data retention & deletion, and user data protection. The Privacy Technical Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing technical control strategies based on legal policies, and wrapping various privacy technical capabilities into a one-stop solution for business teams. This role will require a deep understanding of privacy principles and laws, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and implement solutions that meet business requirements and privacy requirements. Responsibilities: According to various regional privacy regulations and legal policies, collaborate with cross functional teams to design scalable and actionable technical solutions, which incorporate industry best practices and accommodate business scenarios. Partner with legal and compliance teams to iron out technical rules and standards for applying privacy technologies to data life-cycles. Cultivate business understanding to better grasp their privacy needs and requirements, assist in the design of solutions as well as drive implementation. Identify and evaluate new privacy solutions/practices that could improve TikTok's privacy and security posture.Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field. 7+ years of experience in software engineering or privacy/security engineering, with the ability to quickly understand technical designs, challenges and risks. Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems. Good communication skills, and be able to collaborate with cross functional teams. A self-starter that can manage and prioritize initiatives and comfort working in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with domestic and international laws and regulations, such as cybersecurity law, GDPR, CCPA. Knowledge of privacy and/or compliance solutions for different industries.
