Job Description
About ORE
At ORE, we believe that "pretty" is easy, but "pretty, durable, and functional" is our standard. We design and manufacture high-performance metal elements—from intricate planter systems and fire features to the modular FŭSE System—for the world’s leading landscape architects and contractors. Our work is engineered for flawless functionality and designed to captivate.
The Role
We are looking for a Technical Solutions Architect to serve as the critical bridge between our clients’ visions and our manufacturing floor. You won't just be "selling" products; you will be solving complex site conditions (wind-uplift, seismic requirements, integrated irrigation/lighting) and translating architectural intent into buildable, high-performance solutions.
This is a high-impact role for someone who is as comfortable reading a CAD drawing as they are presenting to a top-tier architecture firm in Manhattan or Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Consultation: Act as the primary technical point of contact for landscape architects during the "Design Development" phase.
System Design: Leverage the FŭSE System and our custom capabilities to solve for site-specific challenges like drainage, electrical integration, and structural connections without on-site drilling or welding.
Pre-Sales Engineering: Review architectural plans and site dimensions to provide accurate feasibility assessments, technical specifications, and custom tolerances.
Value Engineering: Collaborate with our in-house fabrication team to optimize designs for cost, sustainability (LEED), and ease of installation while maintaining the designer’s aesthetic.
Project Documentation: Assist in the creation of concept drawings, 3D models, and shop drawings to verify designs before they hit production.
Field Support: Occasionally perform site audits or oversee complex installations to ensure the "flawless functionality" ORE is known for.
Qualifications
Education: Degree in Landscape Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
Experience: 3–5+ years in technical sales, applications engineering, or architectural project management. Experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry is highly preferred.
Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Rhino, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
Ability to read and interpret complex architectural blueprints and site plans.
Knowledge of metal fabrication processes (laser cutting, powder coating, patinas) and materials (aluminum, weathering steel).
Communication: Exceptional ability to "speak the language" of architects while understanding the constraints of a fabrication shop.
Mindset: A "details-obsessed" approach. You should care about the precise tolerance of an edge and the subtle angle of a curve.
Why ORE?
Innovation: Work with cutting-edge materials and proprietary systems that are redefining urban landscapes.
Sustainability: Be part of a team committed to LEED standards, recycled materials, and low-VOC processes.
Culture: A collaborative, craftsman-led environment based in our state-of-the-art Utah facility.
Impact: See your work on iconic projects, from high-end residential rooftops to public art installations across the country.
