We’re hiring a technical Solution Designer to join our Pōneke / Wellington team with strong Ping / ForgeRock experience to design and help deliver modern CIAM and authorization solutions for a large-scale financial services environment.
Your day-to-day may include:
• Designing and helping deliver end-to-end CIAM + authorization solutions using Ping / ForgeRock
• Taking a hands-on role in the design and development of authentication journeys, including login, MFA, step-up, recovery, registration, and profile flows
• Supporting API design, build, integration, and testing across digital and identity services
• Defining authentication and authorization patterns for web, mobile, APIs, and partner channels
• Working on policy-based authorization and access control design using PingAuthorize
• Producing technical solution designs, sequence flows, integration patterns, and implementation-ready artefacts
• Contributing to build, test, deployment, and release activities across environments
• Working closely with architecture, engineering, security, fraud, and platform teams to deliver secure and scalable outcomes
• Supporting CI/CD pipeline integration, deployment automation, and release readiness for identity services
This role is ideal for someone from a banking, insurance, wealth, or superannuation / member platform background who can work across both solution design and hands-on delivery.

• Strong experience in Solution Design / IAM / CIAM, with the ability to work hands-on where needed
• Deep experience with Ping / ForgeRock, ideally including:• PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud (AIC)
• PingAuthorize
• Strong hands-on experience designing and developing:• authentication journeys
• MFA and adaptive access flows
• SSO and federation patterns
• API security and integration services
• Experience with API build and testing, including working with REST services, JSON, and integration patterns
• Strong knowledge of:• OAuth2
• OpenID Connect
• SAML
• JWT
• token and session design
• Experience with policy-based authorization, API/microservices access control, and fine-grained access models
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and environment promotion, ideally in cloud or modern engineering environments
• Financial services experience highly preferred, especially across banking, insurance, wealth, or super/member platforms
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, technical documentation, and delivery collaboration skills
