Technical Service Lead

Within Macaw’s Data & AI service line (DSI), you can step into the role of Technical Service Lead (TSL) and make a real difference at both team and customer level.

Your profile:
How does your role look like? 

As a TSL, you combine deep technical expertise with leadership and strong customer focus. 
You are the connecting link between our customers, your team members, and the broader DSI portfolio. You translate complex challenges into concrete solutions and coach colleagues to deliver these with high quality.

What will you do? • Lead and coach Data & AI consultants within the Data & AI service line, ensuring growth, quality, and strong team cohesion.
• Guide customers through their Data & AI transformation, with a focus on Microsoft technologies such as Fabric, Power BI, Azure (including AI/Foundry), Purview, as well as Profisee and Databricks.
• Actively contribute to customer projects (approximately 70%), including architecture, technical leadership, reviews, quality assurance, and resolving complex technical challenges.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor on data and AI topics.
• Identify opportunities with existing and new customers and contribute to presales, offering development, and business development.
• Take responsibility for project and team performance (quality, delivery, capacity, utilisation, budgets).
• Translate market and technology developments into concrete actions within DSI and share this knowledge within your team.
• Contribute to productised services such as Macaw’s AI Migration Bridge, Data Platform for Education, and Data Platform for Municipalities.

What do you bring? 
• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in a technical or data‑related field.
• Proven experience with Data & AI projects and leading or coaching technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Data & AI technologies, such as Fabric and/or Databricks, Azure, Power BI, Azure AI/Foundry, and Purview.
• Experience with customer interaction, presales, and solution design.
• Proven experience with delivery excellence, for example as a lead consultant, architect, or technical project lead.
• Fluent Dutch and English.
• A team player with persuasion skills, empathy, and natural leadership.
• A commercial mindset: you recognise opportunities, think along in business development, and take initiative towards customers and colleagues.
• Ownership: you take responsibility for projects, proactively steer where needed, and dare to make decisions, even in challenging situations.
• Result‑oriented: you work with clear goals, maintain overview, and ensure deadlines are met without losing sight of quality.
• Affinity with leadership and HR: you enjoy managing teams, are involved in the development of colleagues, and have an eye for HR‑related processes such as coaching, performance reviews, and team dynamics.
