Technical Scrum Master

We are seeking a highly capable Technical Scrum Master to drive delivery excellence across our Service Delivery organisation. You will play a crucial role in enabling teams to deliver high quality customer outcomes, partnering closely with the Programme Manager, engineering teams, customer support, and business stakeholders.
This role blends Agile leadership, technical understanding, and service delivery coordination. You will foster collaboration, remove impediments, and bring data driven insight to help our teams deliver predictable, consistent value.

Key Responsibilities
Agile Leadership & Team Enablement
•    Lead and facilitate all Agile ceremonies — including sprint planning, daily stand ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives — ensuring alignment, focus, and flow across teams. 
•    Manage and refine backlogs, ensuring high quality user stories, clear priorities, and readiness for development. 
•    Build a culture of trust, transparency, and continuous improvement, supporting constructive problem solving and effective team dynamics

Cross Functional Collaboration
•    Work across the Service Delivery area to align engineering, customer support, and project delivery teams around customer commitments and operational consistency. 
•    Partner with business owners and stakeholders to identify risks early and resolve challenges before they impact delivery.

Data Driven Delivery Management
•    Track, analyse, and maintain core delivery metrics such as velocity, burndown, throughput, defect trends, capacity, and completion rates. Use insights to guide decision making and improve delivery predictability
•    Implement evidence based improvements using data from retrospectives and delivery reports to reduce cycle time and enhance efficiency

Technical & Programme Alignment
•    Support teams in navigating technical complexity by understanding dependencies, constraints, and impacts within the broader solution landscape.
•    Maintain and continuously update a dynamic project roadmap that provides visibility into milestones, risks, and inter team dependencies. 
•    Tools, Governance & Reporting
•    Ensure Jira boards accurately reflect real time progress and that user story quality, sprint hygiene, and reporting practices meet programme expectations. 
•    Drive improvements in how teams use Jira and related tooling to enhance visibility and streamline reporting.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

•    Minimum 5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach for cross functional teams. 
•    Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies with a proven ability to identify and remove roadblocks to maintain delivery momentum.
•    Highly organised and detail oriented, with expertise in leading ceremonies and managing progress metrics (velocity, burndown, story completion, etc.). 
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with teams and stakeholders at all levels
•    Proven ability to coordinate delivery across multiple internal teams, ensuring strong collaboration and consistent ways of working
•    Project management capability, with experience managing multiple projects at varying sizes and stages simultaneously. 
•    Strong analytical mindset and ability to operate effectively within complex technical environments. 
•    Self driven, accountable, and committed to delivering outcomes. 
•    Excellent documentation, presentation, communication, and influencing skills. 
•    Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent credential.
