Technical Sales Systems Engineer

As a Technical Sales Systems Engineer, you will combine hands-on technical skills with internal system expertise to support the Tech Sales team. You will be responsible for preparing, configuring, maintaining, and cycling demo systems used for deployments and field testing—ensuring everything is operational and ready to go. Your role will be essential in ensuring technical system readiness and contributing to seamless deployments.

Responsibilities

• System Preparation & Maintenance – Prepare and configure internal demo systems before deployments. Responsibilities include hardware setup, software installation, network configuration, database updates, and offline maps integration. After deployments, receive and thoroughly inspect returned systems, carry out diagnostics, perform small maintenance or fixes, and prepare systems for the next use.

• Data Management – Manage recorded data from demo systems. Ensure proper storage, organization, and availability for Tech Sales Engineers and other internal teams.

• Monitoring & Tools – Perform light preventive maintenance on internal systems using monitoring tools. Work with technologies such as Linux, VPNs, monitoring platforms, and Ansible.

• Internal Collaboration & Handover – Collaborate closely with the Support & Services (S&S) team during the learning phase to take over specific technical responsibilities from them. Maintain clear documentation of configuration processes, repairs, and readiness status.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field

• Over 3 years of hands-on experience in technical support, system installation, or infrastructure roles, ideally in an international/multi-cultural environment

• Strong working knowledge of Linux, VPNs, monitoring tools, and Ansible

• Comfortable with hardware setup, system configuration, and light preventive maintenance

• Structured and independent working style with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Effective communicator and team player able to collaborate closely with internal teams such as Tech Sales and S&S

• Fluency in both spoken and written English

• Completion of VCA-B and NEN 3140 VP certification is a plus
