By using natural, sustainable raw materials, we produce advanced and environmentally friendly biochemicals, biomaterials, and bioethanol that replace oil-based products.
To accelerate our growth in agriculture, Borregaard is now looking for an ambitious Technical Sales Manager to strengthen our commercial presence and drive sales across the EMEA region.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
Driving sales of Borregaard’s portfolio to the crop protection and plant nutrition industry, including applications in specialty fertilisers, biostimulants, biocontrol and complexing agents.
Acting as a trusted commercial and technical partner to customers, engaging with purchasing, R&D, manufacturing, and senior management
Building a strong and profitable customer pipeline through proactive business development and market engagement
Expanding Borregaard’s footprint by developing strategic relationships with leading customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders
Representing Borregaard at trade fairs, conferences, and industry associations to strengthen brand visibility and generate new leads
Collaborating closely with global sales, marketing, R&D, and technical teams to develop new products, applications, and market opportunities
Developing and executing a clear business plan with defined revenue targets, milestones, and growth initiatives
Delivering high quality technical and commercial support to customers and partners throughout the sales cycle‑quality technical and commercial support to customers and partners throughout the sales cycle
Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of CRM data, budgets, forecasts, and business performance
Qualifications
You are a commercially minded technical professional with a strong customer focus and a proven track record in the agricultural industry within specialty fertilisers, biologicals including biostimulants.
Preferred qualifications:
BSc or MSc in agronomy, chemistry, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of successful technical sales experience within fertilizers, plant nutrition, or related ingredients and raw materials
Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken
Personal requirements
Strong commercial drive combined with solid technical credibility
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across customer organizations
Proactive and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic market ‑oriented, and comfortable working independently in a dynamic market
Collaborative mindset, thriving in a global, cross-functional, and international environment
The Technical Sales Manager will report to the Area Business Manager Agri EMEA. The position is based at our office in Barcelona, and extensive travel should be expected.
