Technical Project Manager for e-Infrastructures

GRNET provides advanced services to the following sectors: Education, Research, Health, Culture.

We are currently looking for a technically-oriented Project Manager with a track record in project management and wide technical background to join our team working on the management and delivery of European Commission co-funded Projects for the European Infrastructures and Projects Directorate.

You will be part of a team of established Projects Managers and engineers that nourish technical competency, delivering solutions/services for e-Infrastructures in a number of strategic EC Projects in the areas of Innovative Services, Global Connectivity, European Open Science Cloud and EuroHPC amongst others.

Requirements:
Your Tasks:

● Develop project concept, scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

● Preparing and writing proposals for projects, independently or in collaboration with other European partners

● Manage running projects

● Participate to and manage meetings, including administrative and technical ones

● Contribute to deliverables of active projects

● Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

● Contribute to creation of strategic and policy documents

● Contribute to designing technical solutions for scalable, fault-tolerant, highly available services targeting wide user base

● Represent the company in project consortium meetings in Europe and beyond

Your Profile:

● Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in management of technical and/or security projects

● Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on e-infrastructures and services such as IaaS, HPC, Cloud, PaaS etc.

● Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in English

● Experience in contributing to projects in the framework of national and European Programmes

● Self-driven, ability to take initiative, ability to accept challenges and undertake responsibilities

● Innovative spirit and team orientation

● Communication and presentation skills

Will be considered a plus:

● Participation in Horizon Europe or Digital Europe projects

● Project Management Certifications (PM2, Prince2, PMP etc)

● Excellent communication skills

● Organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

● Working with agile methodologies

● Related certifications
