Job Description
About Us:
STARK is a new kind of defence technology company revolutionizing the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop and manufacture high performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost effective. This provides our operators with a decisive edge in highly contested environments.
We’re focused on delivering deployable, high-performance systems—not future promises. In a time of rising threats, STARK is bolstering the technological edge of NATO Allies and their Partners to deter aggression and defend Europe—today.
Your mission:
To drive the execution of STARK’s internal technical projects across engineering, IT, infrastructure, and operations. As a Technical Project Manager, you will coordinate cross-functional initiatives with a strong focus on implementation, technical alignment, and delivery. This is not a classic customer-facing project management role. Instead, your focus will be on internal projects, smaller initiatives, and selected mid-sized technical programs, especially in areas such as drones, infrastructure, systems, and process-related technical improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Technical Project Execution: Coordinate internal technical projects from planning to delivery, ensuring scope, timelines, dependencies, and ownership are transparent and actionable.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with engineering, development, IT, and go-to-market to align requirements, priorities, resources, and implementation plans.
• Implementation Focus: Support the practical execution of projects, following up on open actions, removing blockers, and ensuring that initiatives move forward in a structured and efficient way.
• Stakeholder Management: Translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders and ensure that decisions, trade-offs, and priorities are clearly understood and documented.
• Project Structure & Reporting: Set up lean but effective project structures including milestones, workstreams, status reporting, risk logs, and escalation paths.
• Risk & Dependency Management: Identify risks, bottlenecks, and cross-team dependencies early and proactively drive resolution.
• Documentation & Transparency: Maintain clear project documentation, meeting notes, action tracking, and decision logs to support efficient collaboration and execution.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of professional experience in project management, technical project coordination, or delivery management in a technical environment.
• Proven experience managing technical projects, ideally in areas such as UAV, IT security, software development, systems engineering or digital transformation.
• You are not purely a traditional project administrator, but someone who is comfortable operating close to technical teams and understanding technical dependencies and delivery realities.
• Strong understanding of technical environments and the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders from other departments.
• Strong drive, follow-up discipline, and the ability to bring structure, momentum, and accountability into fast-moving technical projects.
• Excellent planning, coordination, and prioritization skills in cross-functional environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with common project and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Professional level English and German are necessary for this role.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain appropriate security clearance (EU/NATO).
Nice to Have
• Experience in defence, security, aerospace, robotics, or other high-performance technical environments.
• Familiarity with software development, platform, or engineering workflows.
• Experience working in regulated, security-relevant, or mission-critical environments.
• Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, IPMA, Scrum) is a plus, but practical technical project experience is more important
